Flower Crown Made EASY

Tunic Free People Dress: Similar & Here || Lace up Heels || Tory Burch Necklace: Similar
Details: Earrings and bangle are from Stella & Dot, they are sold out but here are some of my new similar favorite. Stud Earrings & Double Sided Studs and Pearl Cuff & Gold Cuff

The perfect light weight tunic dress for this heat!! Enough said right?? It has been hotter than hot, not mad at all about it but dresses like this definitely save lives in summers like this!

Ps. Here a cheat sheet on how I made making a flower crown super simple!

What you will need:
Artificial Flowers
Floral Tape
Scissors
Wire Cutters

1. Buy 2 long flower stems/ flower branches ( I used 2 different colors). You want them to be the length that would be able to fill a tall floor vase. Normally they come as a branch in that size.

2.Cut your"flower branches" into separate pieces using the wire cutter. They will end up looking like long floral individual stems. Keep them as long as possible. Remember you can always shorten the stems if your crown is too big.

3.Take one of your long flower stems and wrap it around your head, once it fits, mark it and cut it if necessary.

4. Secure your first measured flower stem, which should look like a halo, with the floral tape. This is the first layer of your flower crown!

5.Once your first layer is secured take one of your other flower stems you cut, I would use a different color flower for this step if you want different colors in your crown. Repeat step 3 with this flower stem to ensure fit.

6. Once the 2nd flower branch is measured- twist it around your first layer that you have already created. The two ends of your 2nd flower stem should meet where your first layer to your crown is secured. Once the stems are blended and keep at the correct point, secure the now, 2nd layer to your crown!

7. Repeat steps as needed to make your crown as luscious as you would like!

I chose flower branches that were neutral and had greenery already on them. Be sure to buy flower branches with greenery already on them or an extra branch of greenery so your crown comes out lovely and full!

Let me know if you have any questions!

Good luck, flower child!

Melody

Dressed In Love

|| Dress || Boots ||

Love never goes out of style. In need of some Valentine's Day date looks? Linked are the details to this boho, romantic, Moonstruck Printed Mini Dress from Free People. Also, linked are these over the knee boots that speak for themselves. What's everyone's plan for the holiday of love? Justin and I typically do experiences over gifts. This year, we plan to go to The Hotel Hershey and spend the evening there. I love staying in hotels, and it'll be a little change of scenery and some yummy food!

Still don't know what to get your guy for Valentine's Day? Here are some ideas...

Experience- do something new, book a trip, sporting event, cook together (one of my personal favorites)
Tie Bar- they have ties, bow ties, sock, and more.
OR Monthly Club- you can get subscriptions for ties, beers, cigars, hot sauce (If love spicy food, like me, this could be fun)
Cuff Links- I like these Cole Haan links

Happy Valentine's Day Love Birds!

Melody

Whimsical Neutrals with a Pop

So you may be a neutrals gal but you are seeing all these bright and colorful accessories for Spring & Summer that really have you thinking, you just might venture to the bright side of things. I can totally relate. While, I am adventurous with colors and mixing prints, I love a simple, classic piece. If you are shy about breaking out of your neutral pieces, this style is the perfect segue, to trying something new. Simply, add one pop of color at a time to your neutrals.  It doesn't have to be shoes, it could be a necklace, belt, clutch, head wrap, whatever but it is completely do-able and so worth it.  You'll be giving those neutrals a fresh look while embracing trends and spicing your wardrobe up. I am in love with these gladiator sandals.  Pairing them with these lace and whimsical neutrals, gave this outfit, the perfect trendy pop. I think they are a standout for a pop creation no matter what you wear them with -- or when.

Gladiator Sandals: Breckelle's
Necklace: Tory Burch-Similar ToryBurch

Florals & Fringe, Need I Say More?

Florals and Fringe, need I say more?
I loved romping around in this boho attire while I spent the day brunching and touring Blue Hound Farm with my soon to be sister-in-law and her other bridesmaids! (a.k.a, a perfect Sunday) After we enjoyed a to die for brunch at Home 231, we were off to explore her and my brother's enchanting venue, Blue Hound Farm. This place is seriously so endearing and catches your eye with all the little rustic details. I cannot wait for their special day and am so blessed to be apart of it! This look is one of my favorites! I'm sure you can see why, me being the material/texture addict that I am! I added more burgundy to my hair too! Have to switch it up every once in a while! A. Roland Salon is my savior in hair and facial products!
